Google hired a camel to create a street view in a desert

In 2014, Google hired a camel named ‘Rafia’ to create a street view of the Liva Desert in Abu Dhabi.

The camel became the first animal to carry Google’s Trekker camera that captured 360-degree images of the desert.

Launched in 2007, the Street View service helps users explore destinations through 360-degree and street-level 3D imagery.
