You can try searching 241543903 in Google Images. After this, you will find that many people are putting their heads in the refrigerators. You must have liked this fact. After all, it is so funny.
241543903 was a very popular meme (also a kind of challenge) that began on 6th April 2009 by David Horwitz who was a New York artist.
Horwitz was known for his eccentric DIY instructional projects. He posted a picture with his head in Flickr, titled “241543903”.
The same day Horwitz posted his “Heads in Freezer” image, another Flickr user Saekbalbo posted a follow-up photo using the same freezer.
A few days later on April 10, the same numerical sequence “241543903” appeared in a Tumblr post.
A few weeks later a single-topic blog dedicated to “Heads in Freezer” was registered under the domain 241543903.com. The main page of the site featured a title that read: “Experiencing a MEME in the Making.”
As of January 2010, hundreds of Flickr users posted photos were already recorded under the tag “241543903” and eventually spread to other social media such as Facebook, Twitter.
In an interview with Urlesque in December 2010, Horwitz reported that he got the idea after he suggested it to his sick friend Mylene to try to stick his head in the freezer.
The number “241543903” stems from a package of barcodes and frozen soda noodles on a bag of edamame stored in her freezer. This means it is not a random number.
