The power button symbol is based on binary’s off(0) and on (1).
A power-on symbol (line), appearing at one end of a button or toggle switch, shows that the control holds the device in a fully operated position.
The power-off symbol (circle) on a button or toggle indicates that using the control will disconnect the power to the device.
